It’s hard to sum this one up. Out of all my collaborators, the Department of Antiquities is probably the longest and most intense partnership I’ve had. Over the years, I’ve photographed every archaeological site across Cyprus, through every season.

I’ve been inside museums and storerooms, followed archaeologists and conservators at work, and captured well over 6,000 objects (I stopped counting a long time ago). If people talk about those “10,000 hours” needed to master something, I have far surpassed that milestone within this collaboration alone. But more than just hours and numbers, this work gave me one of the pillars I stand on today.

It reshaped the way I see the world and grounded my practice in something far deeper than photography. This experience shaped me, not just as a photographer, but as a person.
